C Plus C Design and Construct - Castlecrag, Sydney

The builder of a Castlecrag home needed needed a sound waterproofing solution for the rear deck which was to have deck boards installed on it. Decks are susceptible to a lot of movement due to the hot and cold elements of weather which has to be accounted for in the waterproofing solution. The CFC substrate sheets were installed with a good 5mm gap to allow for extreme movements and polyurethane sealant installed to act as the bond breaker. An epoxy primer with polyurethane base coat and UV resistant tough polyurethane topcoat was used to provide a flexible membrane system which copes easily with the extremes of the outdoor weather. The system is warranted for 15 years.

Water ingress was causing damage to the internal walls and floor on the top level of this block of apartments. Inspection of the adjacent balcony found the waterproofing had deteriorated and the concrete substrate had cracks. We then replaced the sections around the drainage grates with new concrete screeds and repaired cracks in the areas before applying a new triple layer polyurethane waterproofing system which is UV resistant and copes with light traffic. This system carries a 15 year warranty.

GK Strata - Maroubra, Sydney

As engineers report of water damage to ceilings of the top floor apartments indicated that the rooftop waterproof membrane system had deteriorated and was no longer holding water. Decking, tiling and artificial grass had to be removed before applying a new membrane to this 560sqm rooftop. A torch applied bitumen sheet and a PVC sheet membrane system were offered along side the liquid polyurethane system. Our client went with the polyurethane system and we were able to provide it in a colour of their choice and with a 20 year warranty.

Damage occurring to the ceiling under the upstairs level of this small shopping complex. The dripping was also an annoyance to shoppers and shopkeepers! An inspection quickly found the source to be planter boxes with deteriorated waterproofing. We potted all the plants including the small pine trees; removed and disposed of the soil and old membrane; repaired cracks and voids in the brickwork; applied a triple layer polyurethane waterproofing system; installed drainage call and geotextile cloth; reinstated the plants into the planter in their pots as desired by our client and then laid pine bark chips as a decorative finish. This was all carried out in a safe and timely manner without interrupting the business trade of the mall.

The expansion joints in the floor of this 10,000 square metre warehouse had deteriorated and were allowing leaks through to the warehouse space below. We were engaged to perform remedial waterproofing works to ensure that all the floor slab was waterproof and was able to tolerate vehicular traffic as well. This involved concrete repairs to the floor slab, crack repairs and the renewal of 350 metres of expansion joints.

Riviera Apartments - Chiswick, Sydney

We were engaged to carry out an upgrade of the waterproofing to plant rooms on the top floor of two apartments blocks. Screeds were installed in specific areas to prevent pooling of water which had been leaking into the apartment below. New polyurethane waterproofing systems were then implemented which were UV resistant and able to tolerate maintenance traffic.
